There's nothing like the start of a new year (yes, I've let January slip by...haha) to get you motivated to be more organized...and that's exactly why I got this 2024 Weekly Planner.
Right off the bat, I was expecting to receive this shrink-wrapped in plastic like most products, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the planner encased in a very nice box with gold foil lettering on the outside (the box itself was shrink-wrapped too :o) ). This is definitely something that you could gift to friends, co-workers, or your own staff). Very nice.
The planner is made very well with very nice, hard front and back covers. The spine is a metal spiral bound design with double rings for each hole. The double rings give a much more sturdier feel in my opinon and having them black fits in with the entire look/feel of the planner.
I don't know the makeup of the pages, but are a very nice weight and they have a nice sheen to them as well. There's just something about placing a ballpoint pen on a nice sheet of paper ya know? That's these pages.
I really like the layout of how the planning page is designed - goals, priorities, habits/skills, wins, improve next week, and then each day has it's own box with 11 boxes. All of the months are listed by their first letter at the very bottom which will come in handy to circle key months if I'm writing "to do's" that might trickle into another month.
Some might not like that each of the boxes (those at the top of the page - goals, priorities, etc.) only have three lines (with the exception of "habits/skills" as it seven lines for each day of the week), but happen to like it because it's (gently) forcing me to narrow things down into groups of three. I, personally, like that so I don't get too overwhelmed, as sometimes I feel that I tend to write down way more goals than I have to, thus feeling pressure that I have to get them all done..and when you don't...it provides a feeling that you're not accomplishing things.
In addition to loving that it's undated, I also love that the opposite page is BLANK. The blank page is actually dotted but definitely doesn't detract from its "blankness." What a bonus to have this page, as i can write additional notes, sketch out ideas, or simply draw some amazing doodles when stuck in a boring meeting. :o)
Oh yeah, another "love" of mine is the dimensions of this planner. So many out there are either in portrait or a large 8.5 x 11 size. Not this one - 11.2 x 6.3. Not big and bulky, it leaves a small footprint on my desk, and it absolutely perfect for me.
Highly recommended and can't wait to put pen to paper on this bad boy!
