I bought this because our night stands keep getting pushed into our phone charging wall warts and breaking the cables.
Both my wife's and my phones stop charging halfway through the night. We use Pixel 6s on Pixel wireless charging stands.
Comes very nicely packed and fits between my bed and wall. It charges my phone and that all I need it to do. Great little block from a reputable manufacturer.
I'm totally blind. I got this in hope I would be able to use one to run a Echo 3rd gen dot and the other to power my Wyze battery pro. In both cases, this does the trick. For teh Echo 3rd gen dot, I got a USB C PD to Echo Dot cable. The wall brick does support PD charging and this is what that cable requires so it can put out 12V in order to run the Echo 3rd gen dot with no issues. Tried using it even at volume 10 playing music and the Echo didn't stop. So it will work.
On the Wyze battery pro camera! Again, I do have a battery in it. I use an USB C to USB C cable to run from the brick to the camera. This again works to be able to provide power to the camera and allows the battery in the camera to charge at the same time as the camera is being powered from tteh brick.
This is a nice small brick and that is what i wanted. The USB port is on the end of the brick so you can use it behind something. The port is centered in the middle of the end. The port is aranged going across the brick. To me, if they needed to; I think they could use the same housing to make a 2 port brick just by moving the port over to the side and then they could put another on it as well.
But for me, this does what I want and it is nice and small. This wouldn't super fast charge a Samsung Galaxy phone! But again, it isn't designed to. This is only 20W at most. So it wouldn't even fast charge a IPhone 15 searies phone being they can pull up to 27-30W and this again only can provide 20W. In both cases, this would charge a cell phone; Just not at the fastest rate the phone can support. But I didn't buy it for that reason.
Main reason I purchased a couple of these was for the low profile and side-on USB-C port to place behind our bedside tables. Worked like a charm - the bedside tables can push right in now, and both our phones will rapid charge using this charger - Google Pixel 5 and Google Pixel 7 Pro. The foldable plug makes it ideal for travel as well. Well designed, and definitely recommended.
I now dont have any USB A plugs in my house. These make it so much easier and faster to charge devices.
